Preparation (part 4)

So it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post. This has mainly because I’ve been working loads. However, excluding my on-call commitment, I now only have 11 working days left 🙂

My preparations have continued and these have included a visit to the dentist to check all was ok and second round of vaccinations.
I also have booked an Overland trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. I just need to work out how to get from Victoria Falls to Nairobi via Lake Malawi and Zanzibar?? That’s for another day.

I’ve also been trying to have a sort out at home, and made £100 doing a car boot sale yesterday. Every little helps when I’m not getting paid for a year.

Preparation (part 2)

So this week, apart from having my 1st round of vaccinations (special mention to Sue, who poked me 67 times on my sore arms), is that I have been looking at Visas for each country I am planning on visiting.
My first destination is Zambia, which will require a visa. But it’s all a little bit confusing, because there is so many different options, and I am planning on entering Zambia a second time, when I do my Over Land Truck Tour. I also have to prove that I am going to leave, so I have now brought my 2nd destination flight to South Africa. Hurray for South Africa….no Visa required.
I actually can’t believe how organised I’m being….it’s actually giving me a headache 🙂
